Foliage & Litterfall

The Expert Panel on Foliage and Litterfall ensures the standardization of field sampling protocols and laboratory analysis methods for foliage and litterfall samples. The standardization of laboratory methods and quality control is conducted in close cooperation with the Working Group on Quality Assurance and Quality Control in Laboratories. The responsibility of the Expert Panel includes describing the latest standardized methods in the periodically updated ICP Forests Manual. The panel also promotes the use of European foliage and litterfall data in both national and international studies in co-operation with other ICP Forests Expert Panels.
